Leader Education is looking to appoint excellent, hard‑working and enthusiastic primary teachers to cover short‑term and long‑term school vacancies in the Leeds area. As a supply teacher you must have high expectations of pupil progress, standards and behaviour, and be able to teach across either or both Key Stage One (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2). This would suit either an experienced teacher who is looking for the flexibility of part‑time work or Early Careers Teachers (ECT) who are looking to gain more experience with different age groups within various primary schools.
Typical Duties:
- Teach all areas of the school curriculum and/or your subject specialism.
- Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment.
- Plan, deliver and mark work.
- Teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges.
- Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative lessons.
- Maintain discipline – be firm but fair – follow the school’s behaviour policy.
- Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum.
- Liaise with colleagues.
