Description: The Law Support Group is seeking a Legal Counsel to join a highly regarded financial services organisation's Legal & Compliance team on a 6-month contract basis. This role offers broad in-house exposure within a fast-paced and commercially driven environment, working closely with senior legal stakeholders across transactional, banking, and commercial matters, with a particular focus on asset-based lending and invoice finance transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting banking & finance and transactional matters across the business.
- Reviewing share purchase agreements and asset purchase agreements.
- Advising on security documentation and transaction structures.
- Supporting client onboarding and transaction management processes.
- Reviewing and advising on commercial contracts, NDAs, and finance-related documentation.
- Assisting with insolvency, recoveries, and administration-related queries.
Requirements
- Qualified solicitor with at least 2 years' PQE.
- Solid background in banking & finance law.
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in the Edinburgh office at least one day per week.
