We are currently working with a highly regarded financial services organisation that is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its Legal & Compliance team on a 6-month contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer looking to gain broad in-house exposure within a fast-paced and commercially driven environment. The role will work closely with senior legal stakeholders across a range of transactional, banking, and commercial matters, with a particular focus on asset-based lending and invoice finance transactions.
The Role:
- Supporting banking & finance and transactional matters across the business
- Reviewing share purchase agreements and asset purchase agreements
- Advising on security documentation and transaction structures
- Supporting client onboarding and wider transaction management processes
- Assisting with property legal charges and finance-related documentation
- Reviewing and advising on commercial contracts and NDAs
- Assisting with insolvency, recoveries, and administration-related queries
- Liaising with external legal advisers and key internal stakeholders
About You:
- Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 2 years’ PQE
- Background in banking & finance law
- Asset-based lending experience would be advantageous
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Ability to work proactively within a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
The role requires one day per week in the office.
