Join our Technical Team and play a key role in shaping the future of legal regulation. As a Regulatory Adviser (internally known as Technical Adviser) within our Authorisation team, you’ll provide expert legal and regulatory advice across the organisation. Authorisation is one of the SRA’s largest operational teams, responsible for admitting and authorising firms and individuals, managing the annual practising certificate renewal, and handling over 170,000 applications each year.
Responsibilities:
- Review advice requests/documents to deliver high-quality decisions, reports, and advice, using your extensive knowledge of regulation and statute.
- Mentor and coach colleagues, influencing risk-based decision-making and regulatory approaches.
- Design and deliver technical training and contribute to policy development.
- Work on diverse projects, from implementing new regulations to producing documents that withstand legal scrutiny before tribunals and courts.
