We are looking for an experienced solicitor to join our Northern Ireland Casualty Injury team based in Belfast. Ideally with 3 years PQE plus.
Responsibilities
- Run and assist with a varied case load of pre‑litigation and litigated work, including cases where liability is disputed.
- Supervise team members.
- Hit, maintain and apply a consistent approach to individual targets of financial performance, realisation rates, settlement rate and average claim spend.
- Support marketing and business development activity within the team (e.g., attending marketing events and client training).
- Maintain awareness of firm procedures and strategies.
- Develop technical knowledge through attendance at training sessions and reading appropriate publications.
- Handle confidential information in line with the firm’s data security protocols.
Qualifications
- Keen interest and enthusiasm for employers and public liability, personal injury defence litigation and disease claims including NIHL and asbestos claims.
- Demonstrated experience in Northern Ireland employers liability, public liability or disease claims.
- Ability to adopt a commercial perspective to legal issues with a concern for quality of service.
- Confident communicator, clear and concise, both verbally and in written form.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and manage own workload.
- Detail conscious with a high standard of work.
- Capability to work on own initiative as well as with and learn from supervisors and other department members.
- Team player with a flexible and self‑motivated approach.
- Demonstrates alignment with the firm’s cultural principles (Clear, Creative, Determined and Supportive).
