We are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic, and confident Cover Supervisor and PE Technician to join our team at Laurus Cheadle Hulme. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in education, whether you\’re considering a career in teaching or already have experience working with young people. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for proving classroom support and registration cover for absent teachers and provide administrative support as requested. If you would like to join our Laurus family in a rewarding role that changes the lives of our pupils by empowering them to become the best that they can be then we would love to hear from you. This position is contracted on a 37 hours per week Term Time Only basis. This means you will mainly work when the school is open to pupils and will not need to work during the school holidays unless the contract requires you to do so. In total you will be in work for a minimum of 37 out of 52 weeks.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

  • Provide classroom and registration cover for absent teachers and offer administrative support as requested.
  • Support the PE Department by organising, coordinating and supervising after‑school sports activities and clubs, and coordinating the House Sporting Calendar.
  • Sound educational background including GCSEs in Maths and English (A–C) or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a school environment would be advantageous.
  • Ideally possess prior experience within a similar role.
