The Laurus Trust has an exciting opportunity for a Trust Financial Controller to join our team on a Fixed-Term basis. As a Trust Financial Controller, you will provide an effective, compliant and high-quality financial management service across the Trust. You will lead on financial processes, reporting and control, ensuring robust systems are in place to support strategic decision-making and deliver best value.

Job Purpose:

  • Preparation of the monthly management accounts and year end forecasts.
  • To assist with preparation of the draft budget, the annual financial statements and returns to the DfE and ESFA, adhering to reporting deadlines.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Qualified accountant with a recognised body (ICAEW, ACCA, CIPFA).
  • Experience of planning, budget monitoring and procurement.
  • Experience of producing financial/management reports within a medium sized organisation.
