The Role: We are seeking a dynamic and highly organised individual to join The Laundry team in a unique and multifaceted role. As our Digital Marketing & Events Manager, you will be the driving force behind our online presence and the orchestrator of our exciting events and pop-up ventures. This role requires a strong blend of digital savvy, creative flair, and hands-on hospitality experience, as you will also be an integral part of our front-of-house team during busy day shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Digital Marketing & Social Media Management: Develop and execute a comprehensive digital marketing strategy to promote The Laundry, "The Wild Table," and all associated events and pop-ups. Manage all social media channels (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) including content creation, scheduling, community engagement, and performance analysis. Create compelling visual and written content (photos, videos, copy) that reflects The Laundry's brand identity and culinary excellence. Manage and update the restaurant's website, ensuring all information (menus, opening hours, event details) is current and engaging. Implement SEO best practices to improve online visibility and drive traffic. Monitor online reviews and feedback platforms, responding professionally and proactively. Develop and execute email marketing campaigns to engage our customer base. Stay abreast of digital marketing trends and identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Events & Pop-Up Development & Management: Conceptualise, plan, and execute a diverse content of events, including "The Wild Table" experiences, special dinners, culinary workshops, and private functions. Identify and secure suitable venues and partners for pop-up restaurants, overseeing all logistical aspects from concept to execution. Promote events effectively through digital channels, local partnerships, and PR & influencer hosting initiatives. Oversee event setup and breakdown, ensuring a seamless experience for guests and staff. Gather feedback and conduct post-event analysis to inform future planning.
  • On-Floor Hospitality Support: Support the front-of-house team during busy periods, including greeting guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and clearing tables. Maintain a thorough knowledge of The Laundry's menus, confidently answering guest queries. Assist with table management and guest flow to ensure a smooth dining experience. Embody The Laundry's commitment to outstanding customer service and contribute to a positive and professional atmosphere.
Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in digital marketing, specifically within the hospitality or food & beverage industry.
  • Demonstrable success in managing social media platforms and developing engaging content.
  • Strong understanding of SEO, email marketing, and web content management systems.
  • Experience in planning and executing events, from conception to completion.
  • A minimum of 2 years of hands-on hospitality experience in a busy restaurant environment, preferably in a front-of-house role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in using social media management tools, graphic design software (e.g., Canva), and email marketing platforms.
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • A passion for food, wine, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules and restaurant demands.
