  • High level of Literacy and Numeracy skills,equivalent to Level 3
  • Motivated to work with children and young peopleto ensure they are successful
  • Commitment to, and belief in, the equal value ofall students
  • Ability to form and maintain appropriaterelationships and personal boundaries with children and young people
  • Emotional resilience in working with challengingbehaviours and attitudes to use of authority and maintaining discipline
  • Experience of working with children in aneducational setting
  • An awareness of child protection issues
  • Proven experience of working in administration
  • Prior relevant experience of working in a school
  • Experience of using a School’s InformationManagement System
  • First Aid trained (or a willingness to undertaketraining)
  • Strong ICT skills, especially in the use of Wordand Excel
  • Appropriate level of data protection, security,and confidentiality awareness
  • Strong communication and listening skills
  • Ability to problem solve and an awareness andability to identify issues that children may experience and how they can beresolved
  • Accurate, consistent and have an attention todetail
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to keep calm and maintain an air ofauthority
  • Efficient and organised: independent andeffective in time management
  • Ability to use initiative
  • Willing to be flexible and adaptable
