We are seeking a Site Assistant to join our busy and purposeful Estates team. Duties will include supporting the smooth operation of the site, including keeping the site clean and tidy, general repairs and maintenance work. The person we are seeking can replace a broken socket, fix a leaking tap, repair a hole in a wall and unblock a toilet.
The successful candidate should:
- Have attained the basic level of secondary education and be literate and numerate
- Be able to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people
- Have a commitment to, and belief in, the equal value of all students
- Have knowledge of Health and Safety legislation to ensure operation within Health and Safety policies and guidelines
- Have excellent communication skills
- Have a knowledge of a range of DIY skills including general plumbing, glazing, painting and decorating, laying slabs, door fitting, fitting carpets and suspended ceilings
- Be able to work as part of a team
- Have a concern for quality and customer service
- Be efficient and organised
- Be willing to be flexible and adaptable
- Be able to work unsupervised
