We seek to appoint a Learning Support Assistant whois enthusiastic and committed to supporting those students who have additionalneeds. They will be able to relate to students in a calm, supportive andpositive manner.

The post holder will support the needs of students on theSEN register within a variety of lessons. Experience is desirable but notessential. Every day is different so we need people who are resilient and workwell as part of a team.

The successful candidate should:

  • Be motivated to work with children and youngpeople to ensure they are successful
  • Have a commitment to, and belief in, the equalvalue of all students
  • Have an ability to form and maintain appropriaterelationships and personal boundaries with children and young people
  • Have emotional resilience in working withchallenging behaviours and attitudes to use of authority and maintainingdiscipline
  • Have an ability to raise self-esteem andexpectations of children and young people
  • Have an ability to communicate effectively andrelate well to all stakeholders
  • Have strong ICT skills, particularly with theMicrosoft Office suite
  • Have an ability to work as part of a team
