Location: North Belfast, Northern Ireland

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

About Us

We’re a busy Belfast hotel with a bar that’s as popular with locals as it is with our guests. From perfect pints to creative cocktails, our bar is at the heart of the experience we offer. We’re looking for a hands-on Bar Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment, knows their drinks inside out, and can lead a team to deliver exceptional service every time.

As well as delivering a great pub experience we also host every type of event: weddings, birthdays, corporate dinners, tribute and comedy nights – to name a few. We have a vast selection of drinks and food to satisfy all tastes.

The Role

As our Bar Manager, you’ll take full ownership of the bar’s day-to-day operations. You’ll set high standards for drinks, service, and atmosphere, while managing and motivating the team to ensure every guest becomes a regular. You’ll be equally comfortable behind the bar shaking cocktails, ensuring a pint is poured perfectly, and handling the operational side of stock control, rota planning, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and motivate the bar team to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Maintain high standards of product knowledge, presentation, and quality across all drinks.
  • Manage stock levels, ordering, and supplier relationships to ensure efficiency and minimise waste.
  • Create staff rotas and manage labour costs effectively.
  • Drive sales through innovative promotions, seasonal menus, and excellent guest engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with all licensing, health & safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Be a visible presence on the floor getting to know our customers.

About You

  • Have a strong passion for hospitality in a busy environment
  • Proven experience as a Bar Manager or Assistant Bar Manager in a busy, high-volume bar or hotel.
  • Have a high standard for presentation of the bar every day through good organisation and cleanliness
  • Strong cocktail knowledge and a passion for great drinks.
  • Excellent pint-pouring skills.
  • Recruit, train, and inspire a team who share your passion for hospitality and quality.
  • Have strong organisational skills
  • Knowledge of stock management systems and basic financial controls.
  • Be customers focused and work well with other departments within the hotel.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and performance-based incentives. We believe the right person should get the money they deserve.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development within the hotel.
  • A supportive team environment in one of Belfast’s most vibrant venues.
  • A creative atmosphere for creating and executing new ideas to improve customer and staff experience.
