Role Overview
We are seeking Video Games Translators - Japanese to German, French, Spanish or Italian to contribute to the localisation of a wide range of content, including video games, websites, mobile apps, and product packaging, ensuring accuracy, cultural relevance, and linguistic quality for German, French, Spanish or Italian-speaking markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate and proofread video game content and related media from Japanese into German, French, Spanish or Italian
- Collaborate with editors, project coordinators, and localisation managers to ensure consistent high-quality translations
- Work on a variety of media formats and platforms, maintaining brand tone and style
- Manage glossaries and translation memories
- Ensure deadlines are met across multiple simultaneous projects
Candidate Requirements
- Native-level German, French, Spanish or Italian + fluency in Japanese
- Previous video game translation experience - essential
- Strong attention to detail and cultural nuance
- Experience with CAT tools, especially MemoQ, and ability to learn new software
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Creative, collaborative, and able to work under pressure in a team environment
- Experience with managing existing glossaries and localisation workflows
