Role Overview
A Video Games Localisation Specialist - French, Italian, German & Spanish Speaking is sought to support the localisation of a wide variety of video game content across French, Italian, German & Spanish (Spain and LATAM) speaking markets. This role ensures translated content is culturally relevant, engaging, and maintains consistency across all platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit and proofread a wide range of video game-related content: websites, app copy, press releases, social media, and subtitles.
- Ensure high linguistic and cultural accuracy across content for French, Italian, German & Spanish (Spain and LATAM) speaking markets.
- Maintain consistent tone of voice, terminology, and style in line with brand guidelines.
- Edit grammar, punctuation, spelling, and regional slang appropriately.
- Collaborate on QA processes, reviewing translated content in context.
- Gain working knowledge of game content to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Work closely with the internal translation and editing team and provide regular progress updates.
- Coordinate with editors of other languages to ensure consistency and high-quality localisation across markets.
Candidate Profile
- Native-level French, Italian, German or Spanish (Spain and LATAM).
- Experience in Video Games Localisation – essential.
- Adaptable creative writing style tailored to different content types.
- Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proficient with CAT tools (especially MemoQ) and comfortable learning new software.
- Flexible, organised, and able to work under pressure.
- A passion for video games is a strong plus.
