We are hiring for a Translation & Language Services QA (Quality Assurance) Coordinator to join a leading translation agency that specialises in the business sectors of life sciences, clinical trials, medical and related technology. Job Responsibilities
- To join their international translation department as a QA Coordinator.
- Work as part of a friendly quality assurance team on large and complex translation projects.
- Ensure that all Quality Assurance (QA) jobs are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- High level of attention to detail and ability to work well with changing levels of workload.
- Involved in the translation process after the file has been translated and reviewed by our linguistic team.
- Ensure files are final and ready for the project management team.
- Prepare and package the files for final client delivery.
- Check that no unnecessary comments remain in the file, using MemoQ to run a final QA.
- Ensure that the linguist has addressed all flags from the system.
- Ensure any client specific requirements have been met.
- Liaise with internal teams and suppliers regarding any queries or feedback arising from the quality assurance process.
- Ensure that procedures are continually adhered to.
- Ad hoc tasks on request by the QA Manager.
Candidate Experience / Skills
- Fluent English is essential.
- Fluency in other languages is an advantage but not essential.
- Recently educated to degree level from a languages or translation degree (preferred).
- Self-motivated with a hands-on can-do attitude.
- Proactive and flexible.
- PC literate with good experience of MS Office.
- Excellent communication skills β both written and verbal, with strong numeric and analytical skills.
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure to prioritise workload and meet client deadlines.
- Ability to take responsibility and ownership and use initiative.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Enthusiasm and inclination to learn and develop professionally.
- Highly motivated, with demonstrated problem solving and organisational skills.
- Flexible and adaptable to work in a variety of roles in a rapidly changing environment.
Salary, Working Hours & Benefits
Β£25,000 β Β£26,000. Monday β Friday, standard office hours with some flexibility when busy! 100% remote.
