Role Overview
We are hiring for an Italian and Japanese speaking Translator to the localisation of a wide range of content, including video games, websites, mobile apps, and product packaging, ensuring accuracy, cultural relevance, and linguistic quality for Italian speaking markets.
Languages: Italian to mother tongue + fluent Japanese.
Location: London (hybrid) or Remote.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate and proofread video game content and related media from Japanese into Italian.
- Collaborate with editors, project coordinators, and localisation managers to ensure consistent high-quality translations.
- Work on a variety of media formats and platforms, maintaining brand tone and style.
- Manage glossaries and translation memories.
- Ensure deadlines are met across multiple simultaneous projects.
Candidate Requirements
- Native-level Italian + fluency in Japanese.
- Previous video game translation experience - essential.
- Strong attention to detail and cultural nuance.
- Experience with CAT tools, especially MemoQ, and ability to learn new software.
- Creative, collaborative, and able to work under pressure in a team environment.
- Experience with managing existing glossaries and localisation workflows.
Salary, Working Hours, Benefits
£39,000 – £59,000 (dependent on qualifications and experience). Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:30 – 17:30 (1‑hour lunch break). Flexible working options: office‑based or fully remote.
