Our client is an international procurement and supply chain company with customers across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and South America. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Spanish Speaking Buyer to join their busy procurement team based in Colchester. This is an excellent opportunity to build a long-term career in international procurement, purchasing, supply chain management and global sourcing.

The Role

As a Spanish Speaking Buyer, you will manage supplier relationships, source products from UK and international manufacturers, negotiate competitive pricing and support customers throughout the purchasing process. You will become a trusted point of contact for both suppliers and Spanish speaking customers, ensuring orders are delivered on time while providing outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source products from UK and international manufacturers and suppliers
  • Identify and develop new supplier relationships
  • Obtain, compare and evaluate supplier quotations
  • Negotiate prices, lead times, payment terms and commercial agreements
  • Prepare accurate quotations for customers
  • Raise and manage purchase orders from enquiry through to delivery
  • Track supplier performance and ensure on-time deliveries
  • Liaise with warehouse and logistics teams to coordinate shipments
  • Build long-term supplier relationships (Supplier Relationship Management - SRM)
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and manage customer relationships (CRM)
  • Resolve supplier and customer queries efficiently
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and purchasing documentation
  • Support continuous improvement across procurement and supply chain activities
