We are looking to appoint an Events Manager on a casual contract to event manage both commercial hire and school events at Langley Park Centre for the Performing Arts.
Responsibilities
- Strong experience in theatre, live events, or venue operations, with a clear understanding of front-of-house and technical event requirements.
- Confident in managing events independently, ensuring smooth running from opening the venue to close-down.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with visiting companies, school staff, students, and members of the public.
- Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment and respond calmly to last-minute changes.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach, demonstrating initiative and sound judgment.
- Commitment to providing a safe, welcoming and professional environment for audiences and performers.
- Knowledge of basic health & safety, safeguarding and emergency procedures, or willingness to undertake training.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, in line with the theatre's events schedule.
