At The Langley Academy, we believe drama is more than performance; it is a powerful tool for building confidence, enhancing communication and unlocking creativity. We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Teacher of Drama to join our Performing Arts faculty. The successful candidate will have experience teaching at all Key Stages, maintain high professional and academic standards, remain up to date in terms of subject knowledge and pedagogical techniques to ensure that the faculty functions effectively as a team. The ability to teach Music would be desirable, though not essential.
You will help shape a dynamic curriculum that inspires every student to express themselves and excel and provide an environment for drama to thrive, including:
- State of the art theatres - a spacious, fully equipped purpose-built studio theatre, plus two additional drama spaces, including a newly built black box studio
- Talented in-house team to create production props and scenery
- Successful performance history - a show every year to include all-year groups. Most recently, a production of Matilda
- Power of Theatre - easy access to West End and home county theatres
- Strong links with other local schools, associations and theatre clubs
