We are currently seeking to recruit a true hospitality professional, with the flair to deliver service at the highest level, in the position of a Reservations Agent.
The key activities connected with the role of the Reservations Agent are as follows:
- answer all incoming Reservation enquiries, by telephone, fax or e-mail, in a timely manner, to the agreed departmental standard, and wherever possible to convert them to bookings.
- to be fully knowledgeable in the operation, functionality and standards required in using the OPERA reservations system.
- input reservations into the OPERA system, ensuring all details are accurate and complete in line with the agreed departmental standard.
- maintain accurate filing systems for all correspondence within the department, and ensure all filing is completed daily.
- to ensure all system traces are actioned on a daily basis
- to ensure all \’no-shows\’ from the previous night are followed up and charged accordingly
- to perform general office duties such as photocopying, scanning, filing daily.
Key requirements for the Reservations Agent role are as follows:
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to build the rapport with guests
- Ability to produce work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Strong computer skills; all Microsoft Office packages and working knowledge of Opera PMS is essential.
