The Langham, London; Europe’s first Grand Hotel, is currently recruiting for a Security Officer to join our talented Security team. We are looking for a true hospitality professional, with the flair to deliver service at the highest level. You will be working in our British Tavern, The Wigmore.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe and secure environment and demonstrate a positive and professional approach towards guests, visitors and colleagues.
- Greet and welcome guests and visitors, control access.
- Carry out regular checks to prevent theft of personal property of guests.
- Carry out lobby presence and patrol within the property.
- Deal with undesirable behaviour.
- Liaise with hotel security team, police, licensing inspectors and any other authorities if and when necessary.
- Fulfil the role of Fire Marshal in the event of a fire incident or fire alarm activation.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience within a similar role.
- Current SIA Door Supervisor license.
- Great observation and monitoring skills.
- Ability to be assertive in any situation in a professional way.
- Ability to work on your own initiative but also as part of the Security team.
