Candidate Profile

As a Personal Trainer you will be responsible for ensuring the comfort of all guests in relation to the gym environment, ambience, gym amenities and interaction with other gym users. Trainers are required to deliver the budgeted amount of training sessions set out to them whilst being responsible for the presentation, tidiness, cleanliness and correct operation of the Gym equipment and environment.

Responsibilities And Duties Include

  • Provide a friendly and pleasant environment for all members and hotel guests.
  • Build Lanesborough Personal Training client base through demonstrating the value of personal training, including safe and proper exercise techniques.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive fitness programs based on clients’ goals.
  • Motivate and inspire clients to get results through goal setting, frequent follow-up, and re-assessments to show progress.
  • Be responsible for all aspects of safe exercise, teaching, fitness programming as well as planning the yearly activity program.
  • Plan and implement colleague training and actual hands-on instructional leadership of individual programming and group classes.
  • Promote and be confident with all facilities offered in the Club & Spa as well as in the hotel.
  • Monitor all individuals utilizing gymnasium equipment to ensure they are using them correctly and safely.
  • Co-ordinate and implement motivational programs and extracurricular recreational activities.
  • Be fully aware of all health club prices, promotions and other facilities and services available.
  • Actively pursue new trends within the industry and arrange for master classes to be conducted.

Key Requirements

  • Experience in a similar role within a luxury Club & Spa.
  • Personal Trainer experience of over 1 year preferred.
  • Excellent command of the English language; a second language would be preferred.
  • Fitness qualifications equivalent to Level 3 REPS is essential.
  • Show drive for Excellent Customer Service.
  • Passionate about fitness and wellbeing.
  • Please note that this role is organised on a rota basis.
  • This role requires an element of manual handling.
