We have an exceptional opportunity to join our Terrace Team at The Lanesborough. An exciting new opening is forthcoming, marking a considered addition to our food and beverage offer. The Lanesborough has been awarded No. 1 Hotel in London in the Travel + Leisure World's Best Awards, located on the doorstep of Hyde Park, just a short walk from Harrods, Harvey Nichols and London's most exclusive shopping district; Sloane Street and Knightsbridge. This grand luxury mansion has undergone an inspired renovation by the famed interior designer Alberto Pinto. The hotel is home to 93 luxurious suites and bedrooms, modern British dining at The Lanesborough Grill, the vibrant Library Bar and Garden Room, and the magnificent Lanesborough Club & Spa.

As Deputy Terrace Manager, you will take pride in delivering refined hospitality, with a natural ability to engage guests and build meaningful, long-standing relationships. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the opening of a new terrace within the hotel, contributing to the creation of a distinctive guest experience from its very beginning. You will support the day-to-day management of the terrace, ensuring service is consistently courteous, professional and attentive. You will be visible on the floor, leading by example and ensuring each guest interaction reflects the elegance and service standards of the hotel. You will play an active role in shaping the culture of the team, encouraging thoughtful ideas and supporting collaboration across the wider Food & Beverage department. Developing the skills and confidence of the bar team will be central to your role, through effective training, coaching and mentoring. Flexibility is essential, as the role may require covering a variety of shifts.

Key Requirements

  • Supervisory or managerial bar experience in a luxury establishment essential and experience within London is desired.
  • Excellent beverage product knowledge is essential.
  • Excellent command of the English language and a second language would be preferred.
  • Immaculate grooming standards.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop a team.
  • Confident with various procedures such as performance reviews, recruitment and training.
  • Please note this role may require an element of manual handling.
