We have an exceptional opportunity to join our Garden Room Team at The Lanesborough .
Garden Room
Geared towards cigar enthusiasts, The Garden Room at The Lanesborough cleverly adds some indoor assets to an outdoor space. The covered room is decked out in full Town and Country mode, with oak tables, a roaring fireplace and cosy furnishings, plus gentle underfloor heating and thick blankets for nippy evenings. A haven for smokers, the partially open walls sheltered by manicured hedges allow air to circulate while keeping out the wind, and a heavy-duty extractor fan in the ceiling dispels any lingering whiffs. At the entrance, a walk-in humidor displays an extensive range of Cuban and pre-Castro cigars – a taster of the enjoyment to come. Accompany your premium smoke with a top-notch Cognac.

Candidate Profile
As Head of Cigars, you will work closely with the Garden Room Manager delivering the highest levels of cigar service to our guests. You will be responsible for suggesting and serving cigars, recommending matches to spirits, wines and drinks. You will play a key role in creating a memorable and immersive experience that reflects our commitment to luxury and bespoke hospitality.
Key Requirements
The ideal candidate would be able to demonstrate the following attributes:
- Excellent Cuban cigar knowledge, with a proactive and confident approach to sales.
- Experienced in selling cigars in either retail shop environment or other cigar bars.
- Cigar qualification would be an advantage but not essential.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to communicate clearly, professionally and concisely.
- A keen interest in hospitality and be enthusiastic and positive.
