About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager – Global HR Compliance to lead and evolve a comprehensive, enterprise-wide HR compliance framework across multiple regions. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring alignment with global employment, immigration, and workforce regulations, while embedding compliance into HR processes, systems, and operations. You will act as the subject matter expert on HR regulatory obligations, partnering with Legal, HR, GRC, and business leaders to proactively manage risk and ensure audit readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Global HR Compliance Governance
- Design and implement a global HR compliance framework across all operating regions
- Own governance of HR policies, procedures, and standards
- Lead compliance audits across HR processes (e.g. employment authorization, background checks, employee classification)
- Monitor regulatory developments and drive proactive policy updates
- Regulatory Change Management
- Track and interpret global regulatory changes across employment law, immigration, and data privacy
- Lead cross-functional implementation of regulatory updates
- Ensure consistent adoption across regions and HR teams
- Immigration & Work Authorization
- Oversee global immigration compliance, documentation standards, and reporting
- Partner with Legal, HR, Payroll, and external vendors to manage risk and ensure compliance
- Background Check & Screening Governance
- Govern global background screening and drug testing programs
- Act as escalation point for complex or high-risk cases
- Identify trends, risks, and continuous improvement opportunities
- Compliance Training & Awareness
- Own compliance training frameworks, including refresh cycles and regulatory updates
- Partner with Learning and Legal teams to maintain effective training programs
- HRIS & Systems Collaboration
- Translate compliance requirements into HR systems, workflows, and controls
- Ensure accurate system configuration and reporting capabilities
- Leverage HR data to assess risk and support audits
- Risk Management & Reporting
- Identify compliance risks and drive remediation plans
- Prepare executive-level reporting and audit documentation
- Support internal and external audits
- Global Regulatory Reporting
- Lead global workforce compliance reporting (e.g. EEO-1, pay data reporting, country-specific requirements)
- Develop reporting calendars, controls, and governance processes
- Act as subject matter expert for regulatory reporting and audits
What We’re Looking For
- Extensive experience in HR, with a strong focus on global HR compliance
- Deep knowledge of employment law, immigration, and workforce compliance across multiple regions
- Proven experience in leading cross-functional compliance initiatives
- Strong experience working with HRIS systems and compliance-driven implementations
- Familiarity with internal and external audit processes
- Ability to translate complex regulations into practical, scalable solutions
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to influence and lead change in a global organisation
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Law, or a related field
- Experience with India compliance frameworks is advantageous
- Flexibility to work across global time zones
