About Our Client

Our client is a large technology-led financial services organisation continuing to invest heavily in cyber security, cloud security and operational resilience.

Due to continued growth and investment, they are looking to strengthen their cyber security capability.

The Role

Our client is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join their growing security function.

You will work with technical and business stakeholders to protect systems, data and services while helping improve the organisation's overall cyber resilience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain security controls across cloud and on-premise environments.
  • Work with infrastructure, platform, Dev Ops and software engineering teams.
  • Improve endpoint, identity, network and cloud security.
  • Support vulnerability management, remediation and security hardening.
  • Investigate complex security issues and support incident response.
  • Develop automation to improve monitoring and operational efficiency.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong cyber security or security engineering experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Entra ID or comparable platforms.
  • Knowledge of AWS, Azure or GCP security controls.
  • Understanding of IAM, network security, endpoint security and vulnerability management.
  • Python, Power Shell or similar scripting experience.
  • Knowledge of NIST, CIS or ISO 27001.
