We are currently recruiting for experienced Maintenance Electricians to support a major MOD maintenance programme across RAF bases throughout the UK. This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-term project delivering essential maintenance, compliance, and improvement works across operational and residential defence estates.
The Role
As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance within secure RAF environments, ensuring electrical systems remain safe, compliant, and fully operational.
Key Responsibilities
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Reactive electrical repairs and fault finding
- Testing and inspection of electrical installations
- Consumer unit replacements and upgrades
- Lighting and power installations
- Emergency lighting testing and maintenance
- Small works and remedial projects
- Accurate completion of compliance and maintenance documentation
- Working in accordance with current regulations and MOD standards
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Proven experience within electrical maintenance
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Ability to obtain MOD Security Clearance
- Own hand tools and PPE
Desirable Experience
- MOD, RAF, Defence or Government estate experience
- Facilities Management (FM) environments
- Property maintenance or social housing maintenance
- Compliance-led maintenance contracts
- City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing
