As a BM Trada-accredited Fire Stopper, I’ve been delivering high-compliance passive fire protection works across multiple occupied and void social housing properties in London and Essex. Working with a reputable fire compliance contractor, my role focuses on ensuring all fire stopping installations meet stringent safety, regulatory, and BM Trada certification standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Installation of a range of fire stopping systems: fire batts, intumescent sealants, wraps, collars, and compounds
- Independently certifying works in compliance with BM Trada standards
- Accurate photo documentation and digital reporting for QA and audit trails
- Working in service risers, voids, and around service penetrations to ensure full compartmentation
- Ensuring all installations are tagged, labelled, and recorded in line with compliance guidelines
- Supporting third-party inspections and on-site quality checks
- Liaising closely with site supervisors and compliance managers to align on safety and reporting standards
- BM Trada Certified (Mandatory for this role)
- CSCS Card (Active)
- Strong experience in social housing compliance work
- Thorough understanding of passive fire protection regulations and materials
