The Landmark is a unique Business and Events Venue set within a stunning Grade II listed building in Burnley. We offer modern co-working spaces, meeting rooms, and conference facilities, alongside two licensed bars and event spaces that host everything from corporate events to weddings and private parties.
The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and professional Events & Bar Supervisor to join our team. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll play a key part in the smooth running of a wide variety of events, supporting the Events Management team, supervising staff and leading by example to ensure every event is delivered to the high standards our guests expect.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Events Management team with weddings, conferences, private functions and live events.
- Supervise and support the event and bar team during shifts, ensuring excellent customer service and professional standards.
- Prepare and serve a range of beverages, including cocktails, wines, spirits and barista-style coffees.
- Assist with event setup and breakdown, ensuring rooms are presented and reset to a high standard.
- Support bar stock management, including stock rotation, replenishment and stock takes.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and service across event and bar spaces.
- Carry out duties including line cleaning, changing kegs and ensuring bar equipment is clean, safe and in good working order.
- Ensure venue policies, licensing requirements and health & safety procedures are followed, including Challenge 25.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures when required.
About You
We are looking for someone with experience in hospitality, events or bar operations, who is confident working in a busy environment and able to use their initiative. You’ll be friendly, reliable and professional, with good attention to detail and a strong focus on customer service. Previous supervisory experience is desirable, but a positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in are just as important.
Working Hours
This is a part‑time position, primarily working evenings and weekends, with occasional weekday shifts. Flexibility is essential, as event schedules vary throughout the year.
