Are you a university student or graduate interested in surveying? This is an opportunity to undertake a two-week work experience placement (your travel and lunch will be paid for by us) during the summer period with a bespoke building and project consultancy based in London called Belshaw. They are a small specialist team of approximately 20 professionals and operate across three main pillars: Projects, Surveys, and Monitoring, working with prestigious clients such as the Crown Estate and Grosvenor Estate.

Why join the Work Experience Programme?

  • You will see real building projects and consultative work, not just shadowing.
  • You will work alongside directors and senior staff, with opportunities for coaching and feedback.
  • You will engage in site visits, surveys, client meetings and more.
  • Understand how a smaller consultancy operates – the challenges, the rewards, how decisions are made, and how value is created.
  • Even in a short time you can contribute, see how your work ties into real outcomes, and understand how sustainability, ethics, and business goals intersect in the construction environment.

From us at The Land Collective, you will receive a financial stipend before your placement to ensure that you’re not out of pocket and you will have two pre‑placement workshops to prepare you for the placement.
