The LaLit Suri Hospitality Group, headquartered in New Delhi, is India's largest and the fastest growing privately owned Hotel Company. The company offers a portfolio of 13 Luxury hotels, palaces and resorts spread across the Indian sub-continent. We are currently seeking a Finance Controller/Manager to join our dedicated Finance department.
Your New Role
The Financial Controller is an integral part of the team responsible for maintaining an efficient and accurate finance function within the company. You will be predominantly responsible for assisting in performing administration accounts department procedures: registering house invoices, maintaining ledger bookkeeping entries, reconciling accounts according to hotel schedules and forwarding financial analyses to appropriate recipients.
Main Duties
- Review of the night audit, ensuring all documentation is in place for daily archive and all variances and unusual items are investigated and corroborated.
- Preparation of weekly sales and banking report and submission to head office.
- Review of guest and city ledger and chasing of all debt on a timely basis.
- Preparation of adjustments and write off reports, for discussion and authorisation by the general manager.
- Purchase order tracking, invoice chasing and authorisation, coding and submission to Head Office on a timely basis.
- Payroll tracking, inputting and submission to Head Office.
- Ensure HOD’s complete their departmental forecast at least 1 week prior to month commencing and transfer this onto the excel document for the GM.
- Ensure HOD’s complete their departmental forecast weekly and spreadsheet updated and sent to GM.
- Cash audits - spot checks of cash floats on property and on a regular basis.
- Income audit producing accurate daily sales, room and catering stats and control of guest, sales and package ledgers, cash and credit cards.
What you will need to succeed
- Previous experience as a Finance Controller from a luxury 4/5* hotel.
- Basic understanding of accountancy and bookkeeping.
