Medical secretary – The Lakes Medical Centre
The Lakes Medical Centre is looking for a medical secretary to join our friendly and successful practice team.
We are looking for 20 hours per week over a minimum of 3 days, one of the days being a Wednesday.
We practise from purpose built premises in Swinton with easy access to Manchester city centre and the North West motorway network.
Salary Band 4 – £28,392-£31,157 pro rata depending on experience.
CQC inspection in February 2024 rated as ‘Good’.
We are actively involved with Swinton Primary Care Network and also with the GM ICB.
We are fully supported by an extended multidisciplinary team including Clinical Pharmacists, paper light and totally committed to patient care.
Main duties of the job
- Provide a professional, efficient and effective medical typing service to support the clinical team.
- Adhere to data protection policy.
- Answer and respond to telephone enquiries when required.
- Be flexible to cover holidays and sickness where necessary.
Qualifications and experience
- Secretarial experience essential (Desirable).
- Experience with audio typing from digital dictation.
- Proficient in IT and Microsoft applications.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good telephone manner and skills essential.
- Primary care experience (Desirable).
