The Lake House is a luxury country retreat located at the foot of the Malvern Hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Nestled amidst 12 acres of meticulously maintained private gardens and a serene lake, the property offers a peaceful environment for relaxation and exploration. Alongside six spacious bedrooms accommodating up to 17 guests, the property features a hot tub, fire pit, BBQ, pizza oven, tennis court, and more. Located conveniently near Great Malvern and The Three Counties Showground, The Lake House is surrounded by neighbouring vineyards and abundant natural beauty. It is an ideal venue for gatherings with its vast spaces, including patios, lounges, and a dining room for up to 20 guests.
Role Description
The Vineyard Manager is a contracted role, based at our small vineyard (c4,000 vines) in Malvern. The Viticulturalist / Vineyard Manager will make strategic decisions about grape growing, and carry out this plan effectively throughout the year. This is a hands-on role, which requires agricultural knowledge and a deep understanding of vine health. Key operations include pruning, tieing down, spraying and harvesting. The role requires ensuring that all vineyard activities align with best practices to promote sustainability and productivity.
Qualifications
- Experience in Vineyard operations and processes
- Knowledge and skills in vine health and chemical management
- Relevant insurance and licenses required for pesticides
- Background in Agriculture and working with crops
- Ability to work independently
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Formal education or training in viticulture, or a related field would be an advantage
