We are looking for enthusiasticGeneral Assistants to become part of our close-knit team for theseason from April October . This is a fantastic opportunity for a couple or an individual who thrives in an intimate, supportive environment and takes pride in delivering quick and efficient service with a smile.
As a General Assistant, you will work in all areas of the hotel housekeeping, portering, the bar and front of house. You will be stepping in and helping wherever needed so expect to be flexible, versatile and to be given some responsibility but never get bored!
In addition to supporting with the breakfast service, you may also be required to assist with bar work and help with guest luggage, ensuring every part of the guest journey is smooth.

Location: The Laggan, Newtonmore, Scotland
Employment type: Seasonal, full-time (beginning of April to the end of October October) and any additional hours worked are all paid for.
Working pattern : 5 days out of 7
Shift Patterns vary between departments but could be: Breakfast- 6:30-11:00, Dinner-17:00-22:00; when in Housekeeping 8:00-15:00; and when in the bar only 15:00-22:00.
Salary : £12.50 per hour + cash tips (amounting up to £200 per month).
Key Responsibilities of a General Assistant:
- Assist in serving food and drinks, ensuring high standards of service.
- Prepare and serve beverages, including alcoholic drinks, while maintaining cleanliness and organisation.
- Provide a warm welcome to guests, assist with arrivals and departures and help handle guest inquiries.
- Assist with luggage upon arrival and departure, ensuring a smooth and pleasant experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in food service areas.
- Deliver warm customer service, ensuring all guest needs are met with professionalism and warmth.
- Work closely with the Laggan team and being prepared to work in any areas of the hotel.
