Our returning clients are seeking a full-time Senior Housekeeper for their primary residence located in Holland Park. This is a fully staffed household that includes one other full-time Housekeeper.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly organized, and intuitive, with the ability to both take the lead and support the established systems already in place. They will work closely with the current Housekeeper, who has an excellent relationship with the family, and take ownership of overseeing the smooth day-to-day running of the household.
Duties will include
- Ensuring the smooth running and cleanliness of the household, including general housekeeping duties and overseeing the daily standards of the home
- Leading the housekeeping department, overseeing all housekeeping operations, setting high standards and offering guidance/support and delegating tasks to the second Housekeeper whilst working together as part of a team
- Preparing wholesome meals for the principals ideally home‑style Italian cooking, using high‑quality ingredients sourced from local markets and specialty stores
- Occasionally assisting with dinner parties (cooking and service)
- Managing day‑to‑day household operations and administrative duties like reporting maintenance issues, expenses, stock taking etc.
- Coordinating and overseeing external contractors and service providers, flagging any issues to the Principal or Property Manager
- Caring for a variety of luxury finishes, materials, and furnishings
- Organizing and maintaining household storage systems
- Assisting with occasional dinners or events at the residence, including occasional evening or weekend support (with advance notice)
The Ideal Candidate Will Be:
- Energetic, proactive, and self‑motivated someone who anticipates needs rather than waits for instruction
- An excellent communicator, articulate, respectful, and professional
- Presentable, discreet, and approachable, with a team‑oriented and positive approach
- Detail‑oriented and proud of creating a calm, orderly home environment
- Ideally a confident home cook with a good instinct for fresh, flavorful food
- Italian language skills would be a bonus, but are not required
- A driver’s licence is preferred, though not essential
Working days & hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 6pm (with occasional flexibility required for evening/weekend events (to be agreed in advance))
Start date: September 2025
Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 gross per annum (depending on experience) + private medical insurance (post‑probation)
