Job Specifications
A busy professional family with one child aged 8 is seeking an experienced and adaptable Nanny / Housekeeper for their main residence in the leafy Highgate area of North London. The home has 7 bedrooms (4 in daily use), 5 bathrooms, multiple reception rooms, a large kitchen, and generous hallway spaces.
The nearest Tube station is on the Northern Line. From time to time, travel may be required to the family\’s Oxfordshire residence. The household also includes two friendly dogs, a large Labradoodle and a small Shih Tzu. Other staff are employed at both properties.
This is a long-term position offering sole-charge childcare alongside housekeeping duties, working as part of a small and supportive household team. Both parents work full time, so the role requires initiative, reliability, and the ability to manage the day\’s priorities without constant supervision.
Responsibilities include:
- Sole-charge care for the child, including school runs, homework support, and evening routines
- Preparing healthy, balanced meals for the child and family
- Managing child-related laundry and maintaining the home’s organisation
- Shopping, stock checks, and household errands
- Light cleaning and linen changes
- Maintaining a clean and well-presented kitchen
- Occasional assistance at weekends or when traveling to the Oxfordshire home

- Confident driver (pool car provided during work; parking space available)
