We are seeking a compassionate and experienced carer/companion to support our fun loving, outdoorsy mother, who is 86 and in the early stages of Alzheimer's. We are based in East Bergholt, Suffolk, in a rural country home, and are currently looking for weekend care:
Weekend Schedule
- Saturday and Sunday: Morning: 8:30am - 12:30pm
- Afternoon: 3:00pm - 5:00pm
- Hours can be negotiable within reason
Key Responsibilities
- Help with dressing and some personal care
- Administer prescribed medications
- Prepare simple, nutritious meals
- Provide companionship and engage in activities, such as walks, shopping and local outings
- Carry out light housework (tidying, laundry, washing dishes, etc)
Requirements
- Experience with Alzheimer's/Dementia care is essential
- Must be an experienced driver with a full UK drivers license
- Non-smoker
- Comfortable around dogs and other animals (we have lots of pets)
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable
- Able to work independently and follow care routines
- Must have available references and DBS certificate (in date) required
We are looking for an experienced, trustworthy, reliable person with a gentle, kind and considerate nature to help look after our mother. In time additional hours during the week could be available. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A LIVE IN POSITION. Immediate start.
