You're comfortable in a plant room. You understand compliance. You know when to fix a problem yourself and when it's time to bring in the right contractor.
At Lady Eleanor Holles School, one of the UK's leading independent schools, we're looking for a Building Services Manager to take ownership of our building services, compliance and technical projects across a beautiful 24-acre campus.
This is your opportunity to step into a broader management role without losing the technical side of the job you enjoy.
You'll lead planned maintenance, manage contractors, drive statutory compliance and deliver projects that genuinely improve the estate.
You'll work alongside an Estates Manager who understands building services, a supportive Facilities Manager and an outstanding Maintenance Supervisor.
Everyone knows their role, everyone pulls together and everyone takes pride in maintaining an estate that supports one of the country's leading independent schools.
You'll be trusted to make decisions, encouraged to improve how things are done and given the support to succeed.
You might already be a Building Services Engineer, M&E Supervisor, Technical Services Supervisor, Maintenance Manager or Hard Services Facilities Manager who's ready for the next step.
In return, you'll receive a salary of £50,000-£55,000, 25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays, a 10% employer pension contribution, free lunches, free parking, use of the swimming pool and excellent professional development.
Better still, the campus closes for around two weeks over Christmas, with routine checks covered by the caretaking team, giving you an extended festive break without using your annual leave except in exceptional circumstances.

All staff working in the School will have some contact with children and will therefore be in regulated activity.
Staff with teaching duties will be responsible for the pupils that they teach and may also have additional specific pastoral or other responsibilities for other pupils they do not teach.
In addition, all staff will regularly interact with pupils who may seek assistance or otherwise interact with them whilst moving around the School.
In all cases, the post holder’s responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of the pupils is to adhere to and ensure compliance with the School’s safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are “spent” unless they are “protected” under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
Lady Eleanor Holles is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
All applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
