The Labour Party is looking to recruit a Political Officer-Labour Peers Group, House of Lords.
Salary: £45,963.35 (gross) per annum inclusive of London Weighting, with a fixed sum allowance of £1,195. There is the ability to progress to £52,355.86 over the next 4 years.
Location: House of Lords
Duration: Permanent
The post-holder will be responsible for providing support to the Labour Peers’ Group in relation to information on government business, the Labour Party in Parliament, and the administration of Group activities.
The successful candidate will have:
- Demonstrable knowledge of current affairs in a political context
- Experience of working within a party political environment or similar
- Experience of a busy office environment, including dealing with competing demands and tight deadlines
- Able to respond empathetically to a wide range of issues raised by Lords members of the PLP
