We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of major civil engineering projects involving a mix of civils and marine works. This role is ideal for a driven professional with a proven ability to manage complex construction projects safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end delivery of heavy civil projects, including planning, execution, and close-out
- Oversee marine-related activities such as quay walls, piling, dredging support works, coastal structures, or marine infrastructure (as applicable)
- Lead site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure programme and quality targets are met
- Control project budgets, forecasts, and cost reporting
- Ensure full compliance with HSEQ standards and contractual requirements
- Liaise with clients, engineers, local authorities, and marine stakeholders
- Identify and manage project risks, opportunities, and change control
- Prepare progress reports and contribute to commercial and programme reviews
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager (roads, structures, earthworks, concrete, utilities, or similar)
- Marine construction experience (e.g. marine piling, marine earthworks, dredging and coastal works) is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of civil engineering contracts (using NEC)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple work fronts in challenging environments
- Relevant engineering or construction qualification preferred
Package:
- £70,000-£90,000 per annum
