The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Site Electrician to join a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a major energy infrastructure scheme, supporting the installation and commissioning of electrical systems within a fast-growing sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical installation works in accordance with project specifications and industry standards
- Install containment, cabling, switchgear, and associated electrical equipment
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation
- Ensure all works are completed safely and in line with site procedures
- Support testing and commissioning activities where required
- Work closely with site management and project teams to maintain programme delivery
- Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and workmanship
Requirements
- Relevant electrical trade qualifications (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, ECS/JIB Card or equivalent)
- Previous experience working as a Site Electrician on construction or infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of electrical installation practices and health & safety requirements
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Desirable
- Previous experience working on BESS, renewable energy, substations, or similar energy infrastructure projects
- Testing and inspection qualifications
