Overview
We are representing a well-established and reputable M&E contractor who are seeking an experienced M&E Contract Manager to join their London operations. The company delivers projects across the commercial, healthcare, education and data centre sectors, with a strong reputation for quality, client relationships and repeat business.
This position offers a balanced portfolio of responsibility, overseeing 3-4 live projects with Project Managers reporting into you.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone currently working as a Project Manager ready to step up, or an experienced Contract Manager looking for a more stable workload and improved work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the delivery of multiple projects running concurrently
- Lead, mentor and support project managers and delivery teams
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, supply chain and internal stakeholders
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to quality standards
- Review design, technical submissions and project documentation
- Drive commercial performance including forecasting, variations and cost tracking
- Attend progress meetings and represent the company professionally
- Support procurement strategies and oversee supply chain compliance
- Promote best practice, continuous improvement and strong team culture
Requirements
- Strong background in managing M&E projects with a contractor
- Experience in one or more of the following sectors: commercial, healthcare, education or data centres
- Ability to manage teams across multiple live sites
- Good technical understanding of mechanical and electrical building services
- Strong commercial awareness and reporting ability
- Confident communicator with client-facing experience
- Leadership mindset, organised and proactive
