We're representing a well-established, privately owned M&E contractor with a turnover of circa £100m, delivering technically complex projects across the commercial fit-out and design & build sectors. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are looking to appoint an Electrical Construction Manager to support delivery on high-profile Central London projects.

The Role

Reporting into the Project Manager/Project Director, you will take responsibility for the electrical package on-site, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to a high standard of quality. Projects are typically commercial fit-out schemes with M&E values up to £20m.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising and coordinating all electrical site activities
  • Managing subcontractors and direct labour on a day-to-day basis
  • Ensuring works are delivered in line with programme and project milestones
  • Driving health & safety compliance across site (RAMS, permits, etc.)
  • Working closely with design and commercial teams to resolve technical and coordination issues
  • Monitoring quality of installation and ensuring compliance with specifications
  • Supporting commissioning and handover processes

The Candidate

We're looking for a hands-on Electrical Construction Manager with strong site leadership experience within the M&E sector.

Requirements:

  • Relevant Electrical qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)
  • SSSTS or SMSTS certification
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in a supervisory or site management role
  • Background working for M&E contractors
  • Experience delivering projects within the commercial sector (fit-out experience highly desirable)
  • Strong understanding of electrical services installation and site coordination
