THE KRIPT is looking for a freelance womenswear designer to collaborate closely with our creative and product development team on upcoming collections. We’re looking for someone highly trend-aware with a strong eye for silhouette, drape, fabric, shape and styling. The role focuses on translating ideas, references and creative direction into strong fashion concepts, sketches and CADs ready for development. You’ll work closely with our internal product development team to refine and execute designs from concept through sampling.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop fashion-forward concepts, sketches and CADs
  • Create mood boards and collection directions aligned with the brand
  • Research trends, silhouettes, fabrics and emerging aesthetics
  • Work closely with the product development team on execution and refinements
  • Support print, placement and graphic directions where needed
  • Collaborate remotely with the team throughout development

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of contemporary womenswear and trend culture
  • Strong Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills
  • Ability to sketch quickly and communicate ideas clearly
  • Strong eye for fit, proportion, detail and styling
  • Experience working with contemporary / trend-driven brands preferred
  • Understanding of garment construction and product development process
