b Overview /b p In this role you will lead the UK I legal function to translate EPDM priorities into market-ready legal strategies. You will partner with the UK I leadership to counsel on strategic, regulatory, and reputational issues, while shaping the team and processes to improve agility and impact. You’ll help manage crises, protect the brand, and drive cross-functional collaboration across HR, Finance, Supply, Procurement, Sales, and Marketing. This is a hands-on, high-visibility opportunity to influence business outcomes in a consumer goods environment. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li ambitious, performance-driven environment /li li development opportunities /li li competitive salary /li li excellent bonus structure /li li London location /li li Equal Opportunity Employer /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Partner with the UK I Managing Director and leadership team on strategic, high-stakes topics /li li Align UK I priorities with EPDM European legal priorities for market execution /li li Lead the UK I legal team (3 lawyers + 1 trainee) in London /li li Guide team on complex issues requiring General Counsel involvement /li li Enhance team capabilities, tools, and ways of working for agility and impact /li li Support strategic agenda with cross-functional business leadership /li li Advise on UK I legal and regulatory developments (food law, marketing, consumer protection) /li li Support public policy and external stakeholder engagement with Government Affairs /li li Oversee strategic negotiations across the supply chain and with customers /li li Escalate high-risk commercial/regulatory matters and coordinate crises /li li Protect brand and reputation in partnership with marketing and external communications /li li Safeguard company assets and IP through litigation, brand protection, and compliance /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Qualified lawyer with 8+ years’ experience (ideally in law firms and consumer goods) /li li Strong training in leading firms or in-house environments /li li Deep knowledge of competition, consumer and marketing law /li li Excellent judgment aligned with business objectives and risk/reward /li li Experience advising senior leaders across functions with UK commercial focus /li li Proven leadership experience /li li Learning agility, organizational skills, and self-starting ability /li li Relationship-building and influence across levels /li /ul ul li Leadership and people management /li li Strategic thinking and business acumen /li li Strong communication and influencing /li li UK commercial and consumer law expertise /li li Regulatory and packaging/claims knowledge /li li Crisis management and risk assessment /li /ul
