PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The University of Essex in partnership with Centerprise offers an exciting opportunity to leverage AI in designing an advanced cybersecurity solution that detects threats in real-time and communicates them clearly, streamlining and simplifying responses for users at different technical levels.
This post is fixed term for 34 months and is based at Centerprise’s offices in Basingstoke.
DUTIES OF THE POST
The duties of the post will include:
- Transforming Centerprise’s in-house cybersecurity software using Large Language Models (LLMs).
- Evaluating open and closed LLMs for Centerprise’s requirement and selecting the most commercially beneficial one.
- Using LLMs for text simplification, text classification and contextual instruction within the cybersecurity domain.
- Developing a user Interface and API to integrate the chosen LLM with the in-house cybersecurity software.
- Supporting company scale up and exploitation of new technology.
- Acting as project lead, to progress the project and ensure milestones are met in a timely manner.
- Embedding technology, training and upskilling company staff.
- Participating in academic and/or industrial conferences and other events, to disseminate and present research outcomes to the wider community.
These duties are a guide to the work that the post holder will be initially required to undertake. They may be changed from time to time to meet changing circumstances.
