Working Pattern: Zero-hour contract/ Out of hours/ Weekends/ Bank Holidays
Salary: £16.00ph
About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Floor Supervisor to join our team at Knowle Country House , supporting the smooth running of our restaurant, weddings and events.
This is a hands-on role where you'll lead and support our front-of-house team, coordinate service and help ensure every guest receives a professional, friendly and memorable experience.
You'll play a key role during weddings, private functions and large events , working closely with the kitchen, bar and management teams to make sure everything runs smoothly from guest arrival through to the end of service.
What you'll do
Lead and support the front-of-house team across restaurant service, weddings and events.
Coordinate the floor during busy services, allocating responsibilities and ensuring everything runs to plan.
Work closely with the kitchen, bar and management teams to deliver smooth, professional service.
Ensure food and drinks are served promptly and to a consistently high standard.
Help prepare and set up wedding and event spaces, ensuring they look exceptional before guests arrive.
Oversee service throughout weddings and events, responding quickly to changing requirements.
Provide a friendly, professional point of contact for guests and resolve customer queries or concerns.
Support, coach and develop front-of-house team members, leading by example.
Assist with staff rotas and operational planning where required.
Maintain company service, health and safety and operational standards at all times.
Skills:
Strongcustomer service skills, with a professional and welcoming approach.
Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to communicate effectively with guests and colleagues.
Ability tolead, motivate and support a front-of-house teamduring busy service periods.
Ability to remaincalm, professional and effective under pressure.
Strongorganisational skills and attention to detail, particularly when coordinating events and service requirements.
Goodproblem-solving skillsand the ability to deal with customer queries or issues promptly and professionally.
Ahands-on approachand willingness to lead by example.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate well withkitchen, bar and management teams.
Working Requirements
Flexibility to workevenings, weekends and public holidaysas required by the business.
Ability to work in abusy, fast-paced hospitality environmentfor extended periods when required.
Experience
Essential:
Previous experience inrestaurant, hospitality, events or a similar customer-facing environment.
Previous experiencesupervising, leading or coordinating a front-of-house team.
Demonstrable experience of maintaining high standards ofcustomer service and service deliveryin a busy environment.
Desirable:
Experience working withinweddings, functions, conferences or large-scale events.
Experience in ahigh-end restaurant, hotel or hospitality environment.
Experience coordinatinglarger teams, event service or multiple service areas.
Experience working closely withkitchen, bar and events teamsto deliver smooth service.
