About this Role
Part‑time: 4 days per week, commencing September 2026. Recruitment allowance of £1,600 will be paid to direct applicants. Knole Academy in Sevenoaks is looking for a well‑qualified, enthusiastic professional to teach up to KS5 in an all‑ability mixed academy with excellent resources. Suitable for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) seeking mentoring and support, or an experienced teacher in a friendly and organised department. We hold a commitment to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children; an Enhanced DBS Disclosure will be required. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high quality lessons and assessment for KS4-5 sociology.
- Adopt inclusive, engaging and effective teaching practices.
- Analyse student progress and design interventions.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and support school improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified to teach Sociology to KS4-5 (or equivalent subject).
- Minimum of 1 year teaching experience; ECT applicants welcome.
- Strong subject knowledge and communication skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and a clean DBS or willingness to obtain one.
