The Knight Court Hotel is looking for enthusiastic and professional Front of House Staff to join our small team. This role involves being customer facing ensuring guests have a memorable experience. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for people, a keen eye for detail and a "can do" attitude. Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality is advantageous - common sense is a must.
This role will involve morning and evening shifts, as well as weekends and holidays, approximately 10-20 hours across 5/6 days each week. This role will include bar work and so all applicants must be over 18.
Duties include (but not limited to):
- Serving breakfast: taking orders, tea/coffee, food handling, cleaning
- Bar: serving drinks, maintaining the bar, stock rotation and levels, cash handling, guest interaction, cleaning
- Dinner service: preparing in the kitchen, laying tables, food handling, guest interaction and relaying for breakfast
- Reception: Answering the phone, taking bookings, dealing with check-in, emails and taking payments
Skills:
- Previous experience in catering, serving, or restaurant environments is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is an advantage
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner
- Ability to work well and as part of a team during busy service periods
- Basic food preparation skills are desirable but not essential
- A genuine interest in hospitality and delivering exceptional customer service
