The Kirkwood & Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice is seeking an exceptional Strategic Data and Insight Lead to help shape the future of data, insight and innovation across two ambitious and compassionate hospices. This newly created shared role offers a unique opportunity to work across both organisations, building a trusted, evidence-based approach to decision-making that strengthens care, demonstrates impact and supports our long-term sustainability.
Working closely with senior leaders, clinical teams and operational colleagues, you will lead the development of high-quality reporting, business intelligence and analytics capabilities. You will create a single source of truth across both hospices, design meaningful dashboards, promote excellent data governance, and help us explore the safe and ethical use of AI and automation.

About the Role
As Strategic Data and Insight Lead, you will:
- Lead the design and development of Power BI dashboards and self-service reporting solutions
- Provide strategic insight to executive leaders and trustees
- Improve data quality, governance and reporting consistency across both organisations
- Develop data pipelines and automate reporting processes to increase efficiency and accuracy
- Champion data literacy, coaching and capability building across teams
- Explore opportunities for responsible AI, analytics and digital innovation
- Provide leadership and direction to The Kirkwood's Business Information Team
About You
We are looking for someone who combines technical expertise with curiosity, creativity and compassion. You will have:
- Experience delivering analytics and business intelligence solutions that influence strategic decisions
- Advanced skills in Power BI, Excel and data analysis, with experience of working across multiple systems and datasets
- Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex data into compelling stories and actionable insight
- Experience improving data quality, governance and reporting standards
- A passion for continuous improvement, innovation and evidence-based decision making
- A collaborative and values-driven approach that reflects the ethos of hospice care
Contract: Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hours per week). Please note that this role is employed directly by The Kirkwood.
Location: Flexible hybrid working across The Kirkwood and Forget Me Not Children's Hospice sites, with home working by agreement.
